The distance between “the Windy City” of Chicago, IL, and Colorado Springs, or “The Springs,” is around 1,100 miles. And no matter which way the wind blows, there are some differences between the cities, especially in elevation and population. 

A significant adjustment will be living at a higher altitude since Colorado Springs is over one mile above sea level. You won’t have as many skyscrapers in the city, but you will have glorious mountain views.

Colorado Springs is also home to the Rocky Mountain Vibes in the Pioneer League (baseball) and the Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC in the USL Championship League (soccer). The local colleges' sports teams, in football, basketball, hockey and soccer, also evoke a large fanbase.
