I definitely recommend U-Pack to anyone moving a far distance! Everything was SO easy. From the booking to the move then the empty cube pick up. I did not give that 5th star only because the communication during the move dropped off a little. I was never alerted that our cube was ready to be scheduled for delivery. Not the end of the world, just would have been nice to have our bed one day earlier. Thanks U-Pack!

This was my first experience with ABF U-Pack. I researched my moving options online quite a bit, watched videos, got a quote and decided to go with U-Pack. They were the least expensive (even compared to U-Haul). Everyone I had dealings with in person or over the phone were very friendly and helpful. The only issue I had was that our shipment got hung up in Atlanta, GA for about a week. We were told that it was due to the Easter Holiday weekend and bad weather up north that caused a backlog. If I ever had to do it again, (and I hope I never have to), I would use U-Pack again. However I would purchase actual, uniform MOVING BOXES rather than random sized boxes because they were harder to stack tightly. The how-to videos were helpful but none of them showed how to cope with large, odd shaped items like easy chairs, bikes, patio tables, etc. We managed ok though. Overall, it was a good experience and I would recommend them for inexpensive, ease of use, no headache, no hassle long distance moving.

Two areas of concern. The trailer had a leak in the roof in a spot that had been previously patched. U-Pack was responsive, but it took about four hours for the tech to arrive and patch the hole while we were trying to pack. After he fixed it, we continued to pack. The next day the repair was still leaking. U-Pack again sent the same tech back up to repair the leak. Another four hours of downtime. I didn't want to continue to pack if the leak could not be fixed. The leak did get fixed, but we ha...  See Mored to stop loading when we had a crew to help us. Fortunately we had the trailer over the weekend to continue packing. Turns out that nothing appears to be damaged from the leak. But please, U-Pack, you need to give the trailers a once over before sending them out. Second issue. U-Pack overcharged us for usage. We contacted for a full trailer but only used 21 feet. It took four phone calls over the course of 2 weeks for them to post the refund to our account. Seems excessive. I think we would use them again, but I would underestimate the usage of trailer space and have U-Pack bill me for the difference instead of waiting 2 weeks for a refund. Oh, and I'd do a better job of inspecting the trailer before accepting it.

Pretty pleased with upack. Representatives were friendly and scheduling was easy. My only complaint is that the seals around the door of 1 of our cubes was deteriorating. I pointed this out to the guy who picked up our loaded cubes and asked him to apply tape or something to seal it. He said he would. Sadly the cube was not sealed upon arrival to our destination. White and blue dust/chalk like powders were all over our boxes. I have no idea what this substance was hopefully nothing harmful Good...  See More thing we sealed all boxes really well and saran wrapped our furniture. I was under the impression that these cubes were sealed but apparently not.

I recently hired U-Pack for a move from Tacoma WA to Charlotte NC. I was very skeptical about hiring another moving company after being scammed out of my money by Jet Blue Relocation Inc (now operating under a new name) U-Pack my thenprocess very easy for me when decideing to go with them. The information they provided was laid out clearly. The only reason I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 is because a few of the representatives that I spoke to could work on their customer service skills but overall a great experience.

U-Pack was awesome. The only problem I had is when the truck was dropped off at my new house the driver took the ramp that we used to carry all the heavy stuff onto the truck. I had to hire another person to help. Otherwise great service

The whole experience was very good, from making the first call to find out what service was best for me to the actual dropping off, picking up, and delivery of my items. I used the trailer. I didn't realize how big it really was. The driver was accommodating and put the trailer where I needed it. Showed me about the ramp and bulkhead doors. Came within a day of it being packed and then accommodated my arrival down south. The reason i'm giving a 4 instead of a 5 star review is there was a leak in...  See More the roof which damaged some of my wood furniture. I would recommend placing a tarp over your belongings.

it’s an excellent service and the staff at both ends were friendly. but there are definitely some things to consider before proceeding: the relocubes hold more than what you might think at first look, so you have to also consider that each one has a maximum cargo weight limit of 2,500 pounds and that the cargo weight should be evenly-distributed. you won’t really know how much it weighs after you load it, nor how well you distributed the weight, until it comes time to forklift it onto the tr...  See Moreuck. as you load it, you are supposed to tie down/strap your possessions in sections to ensure stability inside the relocube; the tie down points are not that functional, unfortunately, because the openings are very narrow and the points themselves are at fixed locations that don’t always correspond well to your load. “put everything that can fit into a box, into a box” is very good advice as loading a relocube is sort of like Tetris. although you can secure a relocube with a single padlock, for maximum protection you should have 2 locks, one for each door. and finally, scheduling: neither my origin or destination contacts could give me more than a vague guess as to when during the day the relocube would be delivered or picked up, which was surprising.

We had ups and downs with our experience with U-Pack moving from Wisconsin to Arizona. We scheduled it more than a month in advance as our truck needed to be at our new house by the 29th. The day the truck was to be delivered between 12-4, it never came and we had to call U-Pack. They said they were behind, but no one contacted us and our movers were going to be at our house at 8am the next day! The truck was delivered at 8pm after they found someone who could deliver it. When I called to schedule delivery, the woman told me they were transferring it to another company and I had to call them. I called the other company and they couldn't schedule it until U-Pack passed it to them. She said the next day. I called again and she said they hadn't received it from U-Pack. I called U-Pack again and it turns out we had a balance on our account and they wouldn't deliver it until it was paid! No one ever mentioned this to us! I paid it immediately and they said they would send the truck over to the deliver company. The truck made it to our new house at 4pm on the 29th, but that was because everyone made an extra effort, which we appreciated. We also had a terrific delivery guy who did an amazing job of getting the truck into our tricky driveway.

Upack was great, for the most part. The only complaint I had was that the "time windows" for drop off and delivery were never accurate (often by several hours). I missed a lunch appointment because they were 2 hours late dropping off the trailer. They were great to answer questions, and the driver even too the time to park the trailer at its destination in a less than easy place so it would be easier for us to unload. Great friendly service. Cost wise, you can't beat Upack. It was only a coup...  See Morele hundred more than renting a box truck and paying for the gas. When you have two cars, two drivers and a moving truck, hiring a driver (or flying our my dad to drive) made Upack less expensive, and I didn't have to worry about an inexperienced driver navigating the mountain passes of West Virginia in December. One other thing: Upack gives you a window of time to expect the truck to get to its final destination. You can pay extra for a guaranteed delivery date, but they got the truck to its destination in plenty of time!

Just moved from Oregon to Colorado. Upack/ABFwere less expensive than traditional movers. We had more control of timing. The load and unload timing was flexible. Everything arrived safely, just as we packed it.

They were really good about everything, except for the timing of the delivery and payment. It was unclear as to when I needed to pay and they didn't deliver on the day I was originally told. The pickup location entered in the day I wanted it delivered and told me it would be delivered, that all I had to do was call, and the delivery location changed that to the next business day (so I had to wait over the weekend). This was such a great service for me! The truck driver was extremely nice, the trailer came in a timely manner and arrived at the beginning of the arrival window. A couple of my boxes were damaged during the move, but the items inside didn't break. I don't blame the driver as much as my packing skills. haha Overall, I would highly recommend U-Pack!

U-Pack is inexpensive, easy to load and unload (if you get the Cubes, don't need to deal with the ramp), fast in delivery and easy to order. I'm sure there is a glitch in the system and it's not intentional, but it's been a week since we unloaded the cubes and requested to pick them up, but they are still here. That has been an inconvenience for us and the neighbors.

Had a pretty good experience. The customer service people and the pick up and drop off people were very nice and accomodating. The only drawback was my guaranteed shipping was a day late. But , they refunded me the money I paid for expedited shipping and a little more for my trouble. Meredith was very kind and kept in contact with me the entire time to keep me up to date. I really appreciated her customer service!

If you are moving, check out UPack. Their delivery and pick up were timely and communication very good. Same experience as you would get with Pods but with a bigger container for your furniture and about half the price.

Very prompt, everything arrived on time and in great condition. We were estimated to need 7 feet of a 2nd trailer, which we did not need, so had an additional charge for spotting said trailer. No other unexpected glitches. Would recommend U Pack.

I had a great experience with U-Pack. We moved from IL to TX and needed to store it for a few weeks. We saved some money packing it ourselves. The reservation phone call was easy and helpful and I appreciated that every time I called I got a live person and could look up my history with no problem. We had a 28ft. truck delivered, packed it and it was picked up the same day. One issue I had was with the contracted company Old Dominion. It didn't leave us with much confidence as he was pulling away with our belongings. Then, we were charged for the entire use of the 28ft when we only used 15ft. It was measured when it left our house but apparently he didn't input it correctly. We had to wait until it arrived in TX so they could re-measure it. It did get done in a timely manner and we were refunded the difference so I was pleased. Re-delivery was easy too when we got to our destination. They arrived early, we unpacked and then they picked it up the same day. We were done unpacking in two hours but it sat blocking our driveway until almost 7pm that evening. That was frustrating but again, I think that was Old Dominion, not U-Pack. Everyone I spoke to at U-Pack were friendly and very easy to work with. They were also very helpful. I would use them again.

Everything went great with friendly staff and drivers. The only slight issue that the commitment time requested and paid extra to arrive between 8am-10am to deliver the trailer on the first day to load was not honored but the extra charge was removed once I called in. Besides that it was great.

The Service was very good once my belongings were picked up. Everything came in tact nothing broken and receipt of goods exactly when stated it would be received. My only complaint was the pick up and drop off of the container was a day late on each end. Allow for this to take place. This through me because I was on a very tight schedule. Other than that everything went beautifully.

It was a very good company to work with! They were very prompt with pick up and delivery. My only complaint would be how they judge what fits. There is absolutely no way a three bedroom house big or small would fit in two of their pods unless everything you owned went into a box. It was a stressful mess trying to get everything to fit!

Moved from the San Juan Islands of Washington to the Poconos of PA. U-Pack themselves were outstanding to work with. No issues at all; prompt, helpful. The 'local' provider on the WA end struggled with confirming timing details [partially due to our Island location {requiring public ferry service} and their apparent internal communication, as well as an equipment breakdown] which caused problems on our end-- like trailer #1 was picked up earlier than scheduled, not 100% completed [ the ramp!]...  See More. Needed to access again to complete, as well as had about 15 minutes to complete trailer #2. The local provider on the PA end [Allentown based] could not possibly have been more accommodating or try harder to assist and serve. All in all, early challenges aside, an excellent experience... and recommended.
